The Bullet That Missed by Richard Osman
In the third of The Thursday Murder Club series, the retirement home sleuths reopen a cold case to investigate the disappearance of an anchorwoman whose car went over a cliff. Was it an accident - or murder?
Everyone seems to be falling in love in this one!
Alongside the smoke and mirrors of the investigation, Elizabeth faces a foe from her murky past, and romances bloom for Ron and Donna. (Everyone seems to be falling in love in this book). I was happy to see Ibrahim back in business after being injured in The Man Who Died Twice. But my favourite scenes were those between Bogdan and Stephen. And I particularly enjoyed Stephen’s role in cracking the case.
Was the revelation a little unsatisfactory? Perhaps, but not enough to stop me relishing the next in the series.
